The Best in Target Beauty

If you like trying beauty products, but hate the Sephora price, then this post is perfect for you. One of my favorite pastimes is testing out any new beauty product I can get my hands on, as long as it doesn’t blow the bank. Target is usually my go-to, and one of the best things about them (especially during the holidays) is that they sell a ton of products in sample or travel sizes.

I have finicky skin that is super sensitive, so I can’t use anything too harsh or too full of chemicals, but it’s not to the level I need to buy only hypoallergenic products. So, since I’ve tried most of the beauty brands, though not all because that would be a huge time commitment, at Target, I figured I’d make a post about a few of my absolute favorites.

First is my absolute favorite: The Vichy Double Glow Peel Mask $4.50. This mask is crazy good. You leave it on for five minutes, and then use your fingers to gentle rub your skin, loosening all the dead skin cells. You can literally feel this mask taking off old skin, and after your skin will be silky smooth and bright.

Next is this Yes To Tomatoes 2-Step Nose Kit $3.99. This two step mask includes a packet of exfoliator that will last for days, and a charcoal nose strip that will clear every one of your pores and leave your nose so clear and soft.

I have super dry skin, and NOTHING has ever been moisturizing enough to fix except for this Vanicream Moisturizing Skin Cream $13.99. This moisturizer is so thick and creamy, but doesn’t make your skin oily. It is amazing, and this tub is HUGE. I’ve been using it for two months and I haven’t made a dent. My dermatologist actually recommended this brand for me.

Next is the Pixi by Petra Glow Tonic $15. This brand is one of my favorites. I’d try anything they make, it’s just a bit more expensive than the standard drug store brands. This toner is very gentle, and definitely adds a bit of glow to brighten your skin. Most toners are way too harsh and remove all of your skins natural oils, so this one was a welcome change. Plus it’s available in a sample size!

As I said, this brand is the bomb. This the only one of their facial mists I’ve tried, the Pixi by Petra Glow Mist $15.00, but it’s so good I’d definitely try the others. I abhor when my makeup starts to dry out halfway through the day and leech all the moisture out of my skin, and this mist prevents that from happening, plus it adds a bit of essential oils to last longer than the famed Mario Badescu Rose Water that everyone loves (which I also have, and do like, just not quite as much as this.)

In addition to having dry skin, I also have dry hair. That’s likely because I’ve bleached it a couple of times, and can’t seem to ever leave it be (though I’m trying to more now.) This Dove Daily Moisture Shampoo $5.99 and it’s Conditioner mate are so moisturizing, but don’t make my hair greasy. My hair has never been more soft and healthy than it’s been since I started using this. (Plus you can buy it in huge bottles from Costco.)

The last of the Pixi by Petra products in this post is their Correction Concentrate $12 in Apricot. My under eye circles are next level, supposedly because I have sinus issues, and this corrector does a great job of hiding the blue tones. Plus, it’s a thicker formula, so it won’t spread into your makeup like the Maybelline Color Correcting Pens do.

Though I tend to stay away from ELF products because of my sensitive skin, this ELF Bronzer palate $3.99 is my favorite. Really it’s just the one color in the bottom right that’s my favorite, so I’ll have to see if they sell it on it’s own at some point. Bronzers are supposed to be more gray than your natural skin tone, so it looks like a natural shadow, and this one is the perfect shade, even for me who has very pale skin.

I’m sure you’ve heard of the Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water $6.49, but I’m adding it anyways because it’s great. I use this after I use makeup wipes, to clean off any residue left on my face, and in the morning when I don’t want to use a face wash. It’s water so it doesn’t leave residue or have chemicals that could irritate your skin.

I hate highlighters that look like glitter, so this L’Oreal True Match Lumi $10.99 one is great since it leaves a bit more subtle sparkle. Plus, the warm tones aren’t so harsh against warm skin tones like mine.

This OG mascara is the original L’Oreal Voluminous $4.99, and it is the best. It adds a ton of volume and length without getting clumpy or cementing onto your lashes so you can’t get it off.

This Maybelline Color Sensational Lipstick in Blissful Berry $5.49 is the ultimate berry lip color. It goes on in a subtle, sheer layer, but if you add another layer the color gets more bold, so it’s like two colors in one. Plus, it won’t dry out your lips or bleed into your skin.

And last, but certainly not least is this Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser $9.49. This is another one of those hyped up products, and rightfully so. This cleanser is very effective, and not at all harsh on the skin. I use this before I exfoliate to clear away any dirt or excess oils.

So there you have it! These are my absolute favorite products from Target, all under $20.
