Yup, I bought a jumpsuit

So I stared at this jumpsuit in Banana Republic for like months thinking how cool it was but how I didn’t have any events formal enough to wear it to. Then BR sold out of it and I forgot all about it, until a couple of weeks ago when I found ONE in my size that had been returned and was selling for like $10 and I thought, what the hell? So I bought it. Everyone at BR thought I was crazy, but I had some ideas of how to pull off this piece. THUS – here are my ideas for dressing this jumper both up and down for everyday and for a night out!

For an every day look, my idea was to draw attention away from the fact that I was wearing a jumper. I did this by adding a jacket and these high-top trainers (which if you have seen my Instagram you know are my favorite shoes at the moment). I added a bag to match the brown band of my watch, and altogether I ended up with a casual day look. Don’t let people talk you out of buying a cool piece just because they don’t have the vision to imagine how cool it might look with the right accessories!

Btw, this watch is a great minimalist piece and some of the proceeds from it go to Susan G. Komen and breast cancer research, so if you are looking for a new timepiece check out Arvo and maybe help a good cause while you’re at it!

To dress this piece up I let the jumper do most of the talking, and just added some more bling, and a strappy heel. I also added a bigger bag. For bling I wore a shiny gold watch, some simple statement earrings, and rings. The shoes were another bargain find from Banana Republic for $13.

As you can see from one of these pictures, I pin my hair back every day that I am not hiding it under a beanie. I’m an inch or two away from having a bob and I refuse to get my hair cut because I haven’t found a hairdresser who is ever willing to just trim off a tiny bit instead of cutting half an inch off at least. Half an inch of hair loss at this point would set me back a month in my endeavors to grow out my hair, so I am making do with this awkward cut and putting my bobby pins to good use!

Today I went out and bought mason jars so I can start meal prep for my new diet. I am cutting out gluten and dairy for a few weeks, starting with just breakfast for a week, so I can eventually reintroduce them to my diet and see if they bother my stomach (as I am prone to stomach aches.) I’m thinking of starting a new food section on this blog, so you might see a recipe up soon!
