Well, if you didn’t know before seeing this, I bleached my hair for Halloween. I can’t decide if I love it enough to keep it, but I may try to grow out my roots and do something like this:
Who knows? Maybe I’ll dye it back to brown and grow it out. Anyways, it seems to finally be getting cold, so I broke out my favorite cardigan, which is a heavy, menswear style cardigan from Madewell. I paired it with this lightweight button down from Forever 21 that I’ve been obsessed with lately. I’ve wearing a lot of layered looks with different shades of gray and blue, and I think it gives off a very laid back but put together vibe, which is exactly what I am going for. I tried to make this look a bit less preppy by wearing combat boots instead of my go-to loafers.
Ever since I went blonde, I’ve been wearing a bit more makeup because otherwise the blonde washes me out. Plus I think it’s one thing to not wear makeup and have girly hair, but right now my hair is such an awkward length because I can’t decide what to do with it, so I feel like at least my makeup needs to be put together. So I have been wearing a little cateye every day, and I wear a little bit of color on my lips usually. I also had to switch to using a lighter bronzer because my normal one looked way too dark against my skin and hair. I also started filling my eyebrows in with a darker brown to make them pop more against my blonde hair. I think they look better together against my pale skin. So if you try lightening your hair and you feel like it’s washing you out, these are a couple makeup tricks to try to offset that.
I’m thinking about doing a dressier post soon to switch it up from always wearing skinny jeans, so stay tuned for that. As a college kid though, it’s really not that practical to ever wear heels or business casual clothes unless there is an event or interview you are going to. So maybe I’ll try to give some cool interview outfit ideas.
So, I’ll try to step up my game for next week (or whenever I get a chance to do a shoot),
See you then, thanks for reading.
